We’ve prepared a pseudo-augmented reality iOS and Android application with the adjoining Facebook tab for Spar, one of the leading hypermarket chain in Europe.
With the app, available in the App Store and on Google Play, users can make a photo with one of the 6 possible Garfield characters – dancing with him as an Indian, sniffing some strange odor or escaping from his lasso, etc. The famous cat can be positioned anywhere on the screen so any artistic composition is possible.
The picture can be saved, e-mailed or shared on the facebook tab, specially prepared by Arworks for the application – here, the photos can be liked and voted for, too.
The app is communicated with QR codes on printed leaflets available in the stores – the code selectively transfers the device to the App Store or Android market, depending on the phone – or to simple info page, if the device has different operating system.
The application is an important part of Spar’s nationwide campaign including, various outdoor (billboard, citylight) press and TV contents where Garfield is the key visual element.
