On behalf of V-Híd Zrt., we developed an innovative touchscreen application that was presented at the 2024 InnoTrans railway industry exhibition. The purpose of the application was to interactively showcase V-Híd’s activities and key projects to visitors. The application is available in three languages—English, German, and Hungarian—providing access to a wide audience.

The central feature of the application is a 3D model of the SMD-80 machine, which is unique in Hungary. This special type of machine is currently working on the construction of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line and plays a crucial role in building the railway track. Using the model, visitors can explore the main components of the machine, many of which are animated to dynamically demonstrate how the machine operates. For example, it shows how concrete sleepers are accurately placed under the rails, a critical step in the track construction process.

The application includes many additional features enriched with multimedia content to help visitors gain more insight. Various sub-menus provide access to videos, images, and detailed descriptions, enabling users to learn more about the machinery and the process of railway track construction. One of these sub-menus is the machine showcase, which contains detailed data sheets of 40 large machines, all available in three languages.

Additionally, the application offers three short films, each highlighting a specific railway construction machine. These short films provide insight into the complex process of railway track construction, delivering interesting and useful information for those interested.
