ARworks — Budapest · since 2011

About Us

Since 2011, we have been turning the next step in technology into working solutions.

ARworks is a Budapest-based digital development team that designs and builds VR, AR, 3D, web, mobile and AI solutions for companies, institutions and agencies.

Since 2011, we have been working with the technologies that open up new ways to communicate, learn, sell or understand a complex process. Our path has led from the first business applications of augmented reality, through mobile VR and standalone headsets, to today’s AI-assisted real-time 3D and browser-based systems.

Technology keeps changing. Our goal stays the same: to create digital tools that serve a real purpose and deliver real practical value.

2011 → 2026

15 years of technological evolution

The story of ARworks is also the story of interactive technology over the past decade and a half.

2011
AR and mobile

ARworks got its start with early business applications of augmented reality and with mobile solutions.

Connecting the phone camera, the real-world environment and digital content was still a novelty at the time. Even then, the question that interested us was what this technology could actually be used for.

2013–2016
Interactive 3D and new digital experiences

As mobile devices evolved, we were able to create increasingly complex 3D, interactive and AR solutions.

We built product showcases, campaign apps, configurators, virtual spaces and sales support systems in Hungary and for international markets.

2016–2020
VR becomes a business tool

With the arrival of Oculus, HTC Vive and other headsets, VR evolved from an experimental technology into a usable platform.

The focus shifted more and more toward real-time 3D systems and interaction.

2020–2023
Standalone VR, simulation and enterprise applications

The Quest generation made VR much simpler to use. Earlier PC-tethered systems gave way to applications that run on a single headset, install quickly and can be used even across larger device fleets.

As a result, VR found its way into more and more areas where it is no longer a one-off spectacle but a work, education or simulation tool used on a regular basis.

2023–2026
AI + XR + 3D + Web

Generative AI brought another major technology shift. Today we use AI both as a standalone technology and in combination with our earlier solutions.

AI-based knowledge systems, virtual instructors, intelligent interfaces, automations, AI agents, browser-based 3D applications and quickly developed custom business systems now complement our VR, AR and 3D expertise.

We no longer think in terms of a single technology: we select and combine AI, 3D, web, mobile, AR or VR to suit the task.

What do we do?

One problem. Several possible technologies.

For us, a project usually does not start with “let’s build a VR app.” The starting point is the task.

What needs to be presented better? What needs to be taught? What needs to be easier to understand? What needs to be practiced safely? What needs to be sold with more impact? What can be automated? What information needs to be accessible faster?

Only then do we choose the right technology solution for it.

VR / XR

Immersive applications for Meta Quest, Pico, HTC Vive, Varjo and other platforms.

Typical uses

training and education · simulation · safety drills · product presentation · virtual showroom · events and activations · research and measurement

Augmented Reality

Placing digital 3D content, information or interaction in the physical environment.

Typical uses

product presentation · marketing activation · sales support · education · maintenance · on-site information · spatial visualization

References

Real-time 3D

Interactive products, machines, buildings, processes and entire virtual environments. Users are not watching a pre-made video: they can move around freely, inspect, configure and interact with the digital model.

AI and intelligent systems

We use generative AI both in standalone applications and as part of other digital solutions.

Typical uses

AI agents · corporate knowledge bases · document-based Q&A · virtual instructors · AI-assisted training · intelligent search · automation · personalized content

Web and mobile

For many tasks, the best solution today is an application that opens instantly in a browser. That is why, alongside VR and AR, we also develop web, WebXR, mobile and Progressive Web App systems — from simple interactive applications to complete systems with databases, admin interfaces, access management and AI features.

Custom digital development

Some projects do not fit into any category. That is perfectly fine. In fact, one of ARworks’ greatest strengths is building a working prototype, and then a real system, for new or unusual technology problems.

Our services
How we work

From concept to working system

You do not need to coordinate a separate 3D studio, VR developer, web team and AI partner — we can manage the entire technology process of a project.

01
Concept
We get to the heart of the business or communication problem and define how the solution will work.
02
Specification and UX
We define the user flows, features, screens, interactions and technical architecture.
03
Design and 3D
UI/UX design, 3D modeling, animation, virtual environments and interactive visual content.
04
Development
Development of VR, AR, Unity, Unreal, WebXR, web, mobile, backend and AI components.
05
Integration
Connecting APIs, databases, enterprise systems, LMSs, AI models and external services.
06
Testing and rollout
We test and optimize the working system in a real-world environment and support its rollout.
International presence

From Hungary to international projects

ARworks started in Budapest but has had the international market in mind from the very beginning. Besides Hungary, our projects have appeared in several countries across Europe and the Middle East, both directly for companies and as a partner to international agencies.

We have gained particularly extensive experience in projects where a single working system had to be created together with clients, agencies, experts and technology partners based in different countries.

Who we have worked with

Our clients

In recent years, we have developed solutions for multinational corporations, large Hungarian companies, public and educational institutions, research partners, and advertising and event agencies.

What connects our projects

Technological curiosity. A practical mindset.

We love trying out new technologies. But a new technology on its own is not yet a product.

A project is successful when users understand it and can use it, the system runs reliably, and it creates measurable or clear value for the client.

That is why, throughout development, we think about the user, the technology, the content and the business goal all at once.

Method

We do not approach a problem with a ready-made solution

Every project is different. Sometimes a Quest headset is the right platform. Sometimes a phone. Sometimes a large touchscreen. At other times, a browser, a 3D model, an AI agent or a combination of these.

For us, technology is a toolbox. The task decides which tool we take out of it.

What comes next?

The next technology shift will come, too

In 2011, augmented reality was the new technology. A few years later, it was VR. Today, generative AI is transforming how we build software, search for information, learn and communicate with digital systems.

That is why we have built ARworks to be an expert not in one technology, but in constant change.

Have an idea or a problem?

You do not need to know in advance whether it will become a VR, AR, AI, 3D or web application. Tell us what you want to solve — we will figure out how to turn it into a working digital system.
