About the project

Together with the Grey/G2 Budapest agency, we created this application consisting of 10 separate 3D animations for Allianz. The task was simple, and probably not even surprising for the insurance industry. How do you show potential events that we don't like to see – yet without showing them, it's hard to make people understand why insurance is necessary. In a fully furnished house built above the Aquarium on Erzsébet Square, visitors could experience the smaller and bigger dangers lurking in our homes. Upon arrival, they were given an iPad, and by walking around the apartment and pointing the tablet at various spots, they could witness interesting, funny, and charming scenes – which didn't exist in reality but were made visible only through AR, in a kind of fourth dimension, each depicting a potential accident. The toaster peacefully sitting on the kitchen counter sparks, smokes, and shoots out slices of bread; the vegetables cooking in the wok on the stove catch fire; the aquarium with its swimming fish shatters into pieces; the Ming-era vase on the table doesn't stay intact either; the bathroom floods, much to the delight of a duck, and this is also the room where the neighbor's reindeer pokes its head through the wall. Of course, there are plenty of external dangers as well, be it a thief sneaking in through the front door or a windstorm tearing the roof apart. With the help of AR, all of this was presented in a way that didn't scare off the potential target audience, but rather turned this demonstration into an exciting and unique experience.
