3D touchscreen expo app
A solution presenting Hungarian real estate development projects at the Expo Real exhibition
About the project
For Europe's 2nd largest real estate development exhibition, we created a touchscreen application on behalf of HIPA and the Municipality of Budapest, which lets visitors fly over a schematic 3D model of Budapest to explore the largest projects of Hungarian developers featured at the stand. The projects are presented through videos provided by the developers, while the framework—freely expandable in the future—consists of 3D elements: a symbolic 3D model, 20 more detailed landmark buildings, and POI icons marking the location of the projects. Visitors can freely navigate over the city by touching the screen, and by tapping an icon, they can start its video. If no one touches the screen for a few minutes, an automatic demo starts, which, like an invisible user, controls the screen and shows all the projects in sequence. Completed within a few weeks, the application proved to be a very effective sales and marketing tool, unlike anything we saw at any of the 2,000 exhibitor stands.
