VR panorama 360 rally video by ARworks – the first in Hungary

One of the members of the ARworks team took part as a navigator in the Mikulás Rallye held last weekend. Besides racing well, he also captured the events inside the car with our 360° camera. The day after the race, we shared the 360° footage of the best special stage on one of Hungary's popular rally websites, where it has since reached 8,700 downloads! This is great feedback for us, showing that 360° footage does have a place in the market, as long as it comes with the right content. The footage itself was shot with a Kodak action camera, mounted in front of the navigator on a camera holder arm attached to the roll cage. The final content was a HD-quality unwrapped distorted video, which can be shared directly on both Facebook and YouTube's video player. IMPORTANT: THE VIDEO BELOW IS BEST VIEWED IN THE CHROME BROWSER – THERE IT RUNS AS A FULL, TRUE 360-DEGREE VIDEO AND YOU CAN LOOK AROUND IN IT. And finally, one more interesting fact. The three-time Rally World Championship-winning Volkswagen Motorsport team uploaded its first 360° video one day after we shared ours, so – even if not in the race itself – we were the first here! :)
