Exhibition showcase mobile app with a custom virtual walkthrough, 360-degree photos and Cardboard view
About the project
The "One with Nature" Hunting and Nature World Exhibition took place in Budapest at the renewed Hungexpo fairground from September 25 to October 14, 2021. The purpose of the mobile application is to ensure the exhibition lives on after the event. With the app, even those who couldn't visit during the event can get a glimpse into its content. It can also be useful for those who want to relive the experience of attending the exhibition. The app features 4 main sections in a bottom navigation menu. Virtual tour – Here users can take part in a custom 3D tour of the Hungexpo grounds, designed by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. 360-degree photos – In this section, users can view the 360-degree photos taken during the exhibition. Users can look around by moving the device (gyroscope control), but Cardboard view is also available with a single tap, where placing the phone into a VR headset makes the user feel even more like they're actually at the venue. Website – A menu item that opens the exhibition's official website. Settings – Language selection, deleting downloaded data, and replaying the intro. To make the content easier to manage and to keep the app's download size smaller, we also developed a separate content management system (CMS). Nearly all text and image content was uploaded here.
