About the project
The Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo took place November 29 – December 5, 2021, at the renewed Hungexpo exhibition halls. The exhibition aims to draw the public's attention, especially young people's, to unfavorable environmental, social and economic trends, and to show that these negative changes overshadowing humanity's future can still be reversed. The Smart Plate AR application helps introduce the healthiest foods from sustainable farming. Thanks to augmented reality technology and the photorealistic textures of the 3D models, 10 realistic dishes come to life one after another in front of us, complemented by info hotspots with the most important facts. The featured dishes: Baking, browning bread Sizzling fish Trembling grapes Rolling plums Rippling orange juice Falling asparagus Pouring oats Twirling mushrooms We are especially proud that the finished animated 3D models are almost indistinguishable from reality.
