About the project
We created this one-of-a-kind elevator configurator for Kuwait's Al Ghanim Industries as part of a larger project. Alongside building an entire villa in VR and integrating air conditioning, this is the third module of the HTC Vive application we developed. Using a menu similar to Tilt Brush, customers can assemble the elevator in the app – separately defining the ceiling pattern and material, the color and texture of the side walls, the width of the handrail, or the design etched into the mirror. All this so that, turning around in the VR headset, the customer can truly feel as if they were already standing in their future elevator. The elevator also has fully functional buttons, allowing customers to travel to any floor of the villa, where they can explore additional services – such as air conditioning installation, smart home features, and more – or take in the view from the terrace of a future villa.
