About the project

An exciting, visually striking exhibition will soon open in Budapest, showcasing outstanding achievements of Hungarian science, industry, technology, art and culture. In connection with this, we created the Mars VR educational virtual reality application, aimed primarily at younger audiences. Even among the older generation, few know that there are craters on Mars named after Hungarians. Putting on the VR headset, users find themselves in a virtual Martian environment waiting to be explored. In the game, users have 8 minutes to view three Mars rovers up close and read informative content related to the vehicles. Not far from the rovers is a crater named after a Hungarian city, and reaching its rim reveals its full view. The game also features a miniature model of the planet Mars, on whose surface further Hungarian craters and the rovers' landing sites can be found. So that players don't feel alone during the journey, additional astronauts accompany them on the surface of the red planet. The VR journey will be available to visitors on Meta Quest VR headsets.
