VR REMOTE CONTROL
Truly good ideas solve real problems. VRemote does exactly that
About the project
One of the earliest use cases for Virtual Reality is exhibitions, promotions and one-on-one sales situations, where it's an ideal technology for showcasing products and environments. Of course, it's worth thinking through what will actually happen here too, since there's plenty to solve. The Problem: The company builds an amazing VR app, the user puts it on their head — and then gets completely lost in what they're seeing, can't find the buttons on the headset since they've never tried it before, doesn't understand where the menu items are or how to select them — and meanwhile our colleague also has no idea where the user actually is or what they're seeing. The experience designed to be world-shaking ends up being a series of stumbles. The Solution: To prevent this from happening, we developed our VRemote solution, which lets us control what the VR headset user sees from an external mobile phone. The user doesn't have to do anything — just enjoy the view we select for them on our own phone. What's more, we can even see on our own device where they're looking at any given moment, so we can share the most important information based on that.
