An app with flexible content and appearance for events
About the project
Driven by our own idea, we created a system that lets event organizers and hosts build a mobile information channel for their event. Welcome consists of two parts – the freely downloadable Welcome app and the web-based content management system used to create the app's content. This gives an almost unique level of freedom in defining the menu items shown in the mobile app as well as the content within them. This means one event's app may only feature a Venue and a Program section, while another might include a GDPR statement, photo galleries, PDF content, and an invitation. Beyond that, the menu colors and the design elements shown on screen can also be freely customized. A particular advantage of the system is the ability to send Push Notifications to invitees and participants before, during, or after the event – either immediately or at a predefined time – providing a new communication channel that reaches its target much more reliably. It's important to note that guests can access the event information only after entering the identifier shown at app startup, which must be sent to them in advance.
