About the project

Have you ever imagined what it would feel like to stand on stage at your favorite band's concert, with the musicians playing just for you, the singer performing just for you? We've now brought this special experience to Ákos fans with our latest 360-degree Virtual Reality video. For the launch of Ákos's newest album, sponsored by Samsung and Telekom, commissioned by Leo Burnett Hungary, we created a special 360-degree video clip together with Focus Fox Studio, along with its companion mobile app, for the title track of the album — a song the audience had not heard anywhere else before. Launching the app in a Samsung Gear VR headset, the user finds themselves in a completely different world, turning around, looking left, right, up and down, surrounded by exciting events in every direction. In the clip, anyone can experience the atmosphere of a spectacular concert up close, finding themselves among the musicians playing the song around them, standing face to face with Ákos as he sings and submerges into a huge pool, seeing the band members around him appear and disappear in their previous, iconic outfits. Thanks to 360-degree technology, everyone can essentially “edit” their own version of the Ákos clip, since each viewer can focus on the details that interest them most. The 360-degree experience works best when viewed on a mobile phone through YouTube's own app — or in the Chrome browser on a PC. Besides the Samsung Gear VR, the 360-degree panoramic video can also be enjoyed on Ákos's official YouTube channel, and at the event itself, visitors could view it through ARworks's own VR player using a cardboard viewer. In addition, we also produced a traditional video clip so the song could reach fans through every channel. The video excellently demonstrates the experience offered by Samsung's latest device, where the user is not merely an observer but also a participant in the events, providing an entirely new kind of entertainment experience. Virtual Reality is a unique and impressive solution when we can fill it with content where something interesting happens in every direction, encouraging viewers to look around and watch the video multiple times, discovering new details each time. Based on our experience so far, we've compiled a few basic rules that help make a VR app and its content truly exciting, available at the following link: The 8 Rules of VR. If this innovative 360-degree video technology has caught your interest, or if you need any other mobile application, feel free to contact us at office@arworks.hu or through any of our other contact channels. To provide a complete Virtual Reality service (360-degree video, 3D animation, and the accompanying app), ARworks created its own custom-designed VR viewer, the Glance, which you can read more about here: Glance Cardboard VR Viewer
