Audi Q3 Singapore 3D adventure
About the project
Commissioned by the Singapore Audi importer, we created a standalone AR application that formed a key element of the Audi Q3 launch communication. The solution presents the car in 3 different ways, while also including the option to sign up for a test drive and coverage of the launch event, and is available for free download on both iPhone/iPad and Android devices. After launching the app, users are greeted by a particularly well-designed opening screen with a 4-point menu – from here we can move on to the section showing the car from the outside. Here, after determining whether the print ad is available, the car appears before our eyes in 3 dimensions. If the ad is available, we can view the car from every angle by rotating it and bringing the smartphone close to it; if the ad is not available, we can explore the car's details by rotating it with our finger or zooming in. In both cases, we can admire the car in every available color and virtually fit it with our favorite rims – the icing on the cake is that the Q3's headlights can also be switched on. In addition to the exterior view, selecting the appropriate item in the main menu reveals the car's wonderful interior. As we rotate the phone, we can almost feel like we're inside the car. Beyond the windshield, 4 different fantastic locations in the city of Singapore appear. After viewing the exterior and interior, signing up for a test drive is the obvious next step, which Singapore users could also do within the app – while also selecting which supplementary program they'd like to take part in during the test drive. This app is one of our most complete projects to date, using several types of AR technology alongside traditional app content, all wrapped in an exceptionally well-executed design.
