About the project

Honda Karasna motorcycle dealership approached us with a request to build them an application that displays customizable motorcycles. Using augmented reality, the app shows photorealistic motorcycles on which the user can change the color of individual parts in real time. Regardless of the custom colors set, the model can be switched back to Honda's factory colors at the press of a button. We modeled ten different motorcycle types, each matching the real models in every detail. This allows the sales representative to present a motorcycle even if it isn't physically available in the dealership. A photo-capture module was also built into the app, so that images of custom-colored motorcycles can serve as a reference during actual painting. When designing the user experience, we aimed to keep the motorcycle range easy to navigate while meeting today's UI trends. Last but not least, a gallery was added where users can view lifestyle photos related to each motorcycle, as well as the officially available color options for that Honda model.
