Kinder Bueno Buggy Race App, or Else We Get Angry
About the project
We created our latest car racing game application on commission from Kinder Bueno. Extending classic car racing, Kinder Bueno Buggy Race 3D lets you race anywhere, in a real environment, with nothing more needed than a Kinder Bueno chocolate bar. Battle it out in the desolate Bueno Canyon, race through the Jungle, or speed across Pirates' Island – all now possible right in your own living room. Unlike “classic” car racing games, here you can freely look around the track whenever you like. The viewpoint itself can also be freely chosen: helicopter view, rear view, or even side view, whichever you prefer. The car can be viewed from all angles, zoomed in and out. Beyond the seamless gaming experience, the application itself also served as the complete backend for a prize competition. There's no need for hostesses, flyers, or costly SMS promotions – just a single application. Customers download the app, register with their own Facebook account, play with the product, upgrade their cars, or share their experiences and results with friends. In addition to the app, we also built the Facebook leaderboard and the microsite. At the end of the period, the client only had to announce the winner at the top of the leaderboard – everything else runs automatically through the application. The app works with the chocolate bar itself or with the “Superprint” shown below.
