Mini Drifting, Android Photos – Christmas AR Product Showcase

About the project

At the request of Magyar Telekom and Samsung, we created the Élménytér (Experience Zone) AR application for Android and iOS (Apple) platforms. With the help of the app, special, exciting, interactive Augmented Reality content appears in Telekom's advertising catalog, which reaches almost every household, showcasing Samsung's offers and even allowing users to drift a Mini Cooper. This makes it very simple and easy to access important information about each product, and it only takes one click for the reader to purchase the selected phone in Telekom's webshop. Whether visitors arrive at the webshop through the app or any other way and make a purchase there, if they use the application and enter the unique code generated by the app on Samsung's prize registration page, they can win a Mini Cooper. To encourage purchases, the app also lets users try out the Mini – by holding the phone over the back page of the catalog, a virtual car appears as a remote-controlled model that can be freely drifted, leaving smoking tire tracks. Beyond driving the Mini, the app also features a demonstration of Samsung's All Share system (with photos flying from the phone and the Galaxy Camera into a TV), the Samsung S3's one-touch 8-photo feature, the Galaxy Ace's distinctive curved line, the Samsung Mini 2's interchangeable back cover, and a green Android robot taking photos with a Galaxy Camera. Besides the catalog, two Samsung flyers showcase the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Note II's Pen function, as an invisible hand mysteriously moves a writing tool across the screens.
