The challenge

The original 18th-century speaking machine cannot be operated by visitors — yet the essence of the mechanism, sound production, can only be understood by trying it out.

The solution

An interactive 3D reconstruction on a touchscreen: visitors operate the virtual machine's bellows and keys to make it speak, while its operation is revealed step by step.
