About the project

ARworks Ltd., in cooperation with MTVA and Samsung Hungary Zrt., created one of Europe's outstanding museums, and the first interactive museum in Hungary: the Museum of Radio and TV History. Using the latest technologies, visitors can view not only text, image and video materials about the exhibited objects, but also 3D and virtual content. To provide easy and fast access to this content, so-called Beacon devices were installed at the exhibited objects, which are automatically detected by the Samsung tablets held by visitors. Upon detection, the relevant information is displayed. Visitors therefore only need to view the content shown to them. ARworks paid special attention to Augmented Reality solutions, which visitors can access by pointing their tablets at the placed paper markers. This way, they can even encounter the life-size, somersaulting TV Cat and the dancing Süsü. They can also walk inside a constructed virtual TV, or watch in 3D as a radio falls apart into pieces and then reassembles itself. In addition to the traditional museum visit, these virtual elements are further enriched by things like a television that turns on by itself, animated pictures on the wall, or musical, moving radio newspapers come to life. Thanks to the carefully built and structured back-end system and the associated CMS (content management system), the staff can easily modify, adjust and expand all content related to the exhibition at any time.
