Sales Systems

Digital tools that support the salesperson's workflow: consistent product presentation, structured conversations, data capture and connections to the wider sales process. A configurator can be one module, but it is not the whole system.

The problem it solves

Sales teams often work from separate presentations, PDFs, price lists and local files, making it difficult to ensure that everyone uses the same current material. In showrooms, field sales and exhibitions, reliable internet may also be unavailable. A unified sales system can bring presentation, interactive 3D, customer information and, where required, quoting or CRM steps into one controlled workflow.

When it makes sense
Standardising sales presentations
Supporting digital showroom conversations
Enabling field sales to work offline
Presenting property or products in 3D
Capturing leads and customer information
Using the same sales content across devices
Key benefits
Consistent and current sales content for the whole team
Interactive 3D and media can live in one interface
Offline use can support field sales situations
Presentation and data capture can form one workflow
CRM and backend integrations can be added
Content can scale across devices and locations
Limitations and design considerations

A sales system only works if it fits the real sales process rather than adding another layer of administration. CRM and ERP integrations depend on available APIs, permissions and data quality. Offline operation needs clear synchronisation rules, while multi-device use requires version control. Without defined ownership and a content-update process, even a well-built application can become outdated quickly.

Q&A
How is a sales system different from a configurator?
A configurator is primarily designed to assemble and compare variants of a product or offer. A sales system is broader: it can support the full customer conversation with presentations, customer data, documents, lead capture, quotations and CRM connectivity. A configurator may therefore be one module inside the sales system rather than the complete solution.
Can a sales application work without internet access?
Yes, if offline operation is designed into the architecture. Required content and data can be stored locally and synchronised when a connection becomes available. The project needs clear rules for which records can be created or edited offline, how conflicting changes are resolved and which functions still require a live connection.
Can it connect to our existing CRM?
Usually, provided the CRM exposes a suitable API or another supported integration method. The connection may be as simple as sending qualified leads or as extensive as two-way synchronisation. Before development, permissions, data structures, required fields, error handling and corporate security requirements need to be reviewed.
